Gene Davis

After high school in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, I graduated from Southeastern Community College with an associate of arts degree. I then attended Pembroke State for two years before taking a job at Artcraft Sigh Company in Fayetteville. For the next 50 or so years, I worked in the sign industry locally, and also in the Los Angeles area as a designer, pattern maker, sign painter, and pictorial painter. I also worked as a designer and mural painter for commercial interior decorators for a while. Along the way, I have always painted in a fine arts style, mostly landscapes, working in on location, and also in the studio.
